A Gently Wild Space To Return To What Matters
Big Skies is not about curated moments or busy itineraries.
It’s about wide horizons, crackling fires, shared laughter and remembering how good it feels to simply be together.
Set beneath uninterrupted Cotswold skies, Big Skies gives families, friendship groups and hen gatherings the rare gift of space — space to reconnect, celebrate and slow down in a world that rarely lets us.
Here, nature sets the pace. And something shifts the moment you arrive.
Gather. Celebrate. Reconnect.
Big Skies was created for people who want their time together to feel meaningful, relaxed and real.
Whether you’re bringing the whole family, celebrating a bride-to-be, gathering your favourite humans for a long overdue catch-up or escaping with your dog by your side, Big Skies offers a setting where connection comes naturally.
There’s no pressure to perform, no rigid schedules and no polished perfection. Just sky, firelight and the kind of atmosphere where conversations go deeper and laughter lasts longer.
Family Glamping & Camping
Space To Be Wild, Safe To Be Free
Big Skies gives families the chance to step out of routine and back into something instinctive and grounding.
Children rediscover freedom here. They roam fields, build dens, toast marshmallows and fall asleep under star-filled skies. Dogs quickly settle into the rhythm too, exploring open space, padding alongside family adventures and snoozing contentedly by the fire.
Parents get to slow down, switch off and watch their children (and often their dogs) experience nature in its simplest, happiest form.
Our accommodation balances comfort with adventure, offering little luxuries while keeping the magic of outdoor living alive.
It’s family time without distractions. It’s memory-making without trying too hard.

Real Connection Happens Around The Fire
Big Skies is built for shared experiences.
Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday, reuniting with friends or simply escaping everyday noise, our gently wild setting encourages the kind of connection that busy life often pushes aside.
Days can be spent walking the surrounding countryside together, dogs leading the way along footpaths and fields, before evenings naturally drift into shared meals, fire pit gatherings and watching sunsets stretch across the horizon.
There is space to be together. And space to breathe.
Hen Gatherings
Celebration Without The Chaos
Big Skies offers a hen experience that feels grounded, joyful and genuinely special.
It’s perfect for brides who want celebration with meaning — laughter around campfires, slow mornings with coffee under canvas, countryside walks and space to simply enjoy being together. And for many groups, that includes bringing the dogs who are part of everyday life and friendships.
There’s room for games, feasts, workshops or total relaxation. You can make it as lively or as laid-back as you like, while still feeling connected to nature and each other.
It’s about celebrating friendship, new beginnings and stepping into marriage surrounded by calm, joy and real moments.
Stay Your Way
Big Skies offers a range of accommodation designed to suit different group sizes while keeping the off-grid, return-to-nature experience at its heart — and we offer The Little Oak safari lodge and Ravensgate bell tent that are dog friendly plus all our camping pitches are dog friendly, so no one has to miss out.
Why Big Skies Feels Different
Big Skies was created as a space for human ecology — somewhere nature thrives and people remember how to thrive alongside it.
Guests often arrive feeling busy, distracted or overwhelmed. They leave feeling calmer, lighter and more connected — to nature, to others, to themselves and often to the simple joy of sharing outdoor life with their dogs.
Because true escape isn’t about luxury. It’s about feeling human again.
Big Skies is certified to run under a Greener Camping Club exemption certificate. This is such exciting news for us, meaning we are a part of a club with great ecological ethics. In order to book a stay at our site, each pitch or tent booked will be charged an additional small fee of £12, meaning the named individual on the booking will become a member of The Greener Camping Club for a period of one year. Membership will provide you access to 120+ Greener Camping sites around the country, all with the same ecological ethics. The Greener Camping Club is working alongside the woodland trust and for every booking, we will plant a tree or an area of nectar rich grassland.
